PROBLEM:
In early 2025, the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) saw a big challenge in attracting talent to the region’s automotive, engineering, and advanced manufacturing sectors. To tackle this, they partnered with ROAR on a government-backed pilot scheme aimed at raising awareness of career opportunities and encouraging more people to consider entry-level roles in the automotive industry.
SOLUTION:
Working with the North East Automotive Alliance, we launched a targeted PPC campaign to promote the Advanced Manufacturing Careers Fair and raise awareness of careers in the sector more broadly. The campaign focused on reaching long-term unemployed individuals, women, and other underrepresented groups—especially in South Tyneside area and surroundings boroughs.
We created tailored PPC assets to ensure the messaging truly resonated with those who could benefit most from new career opportunities.
Throughout the campaign, we closely tracked performance and made real-time adjustments to maximise reach and impact.
With the set up of analytics and tracking, we also gained insights into audience behaviour, engagement trends, and conversion patterns—helping us to fine-tune the campaign and deliver even stronger results.
OUTCOME:
Since the ongoing project started in early 2025, we have already managed to achieve the following:
- 708,633+ views to date of display and video assets by a highly targeted audience.
- 181,000+ users to date driven to the career fair pages through the campaign.
- Achieving a 3% conversion rate — well above the 2.4% industry benchmark — is especially impressive given the nature of the audiences. It highlights the strength of the campaign, with impactful creative, messaging, and smart targeting all clearly resonating.
“ROAR are a fantastic friendly team who are able to advise and guide using their inhouse specialist knowledge. Given the exceptional tight deadlines, the results of our campaign have been impressive, and have shown a significant increase in our online presence. It has also set us up for better success in future campaigns.” – Laura Gage – Marketing & PR Manager at North East Automotive Alliance.
