My Final Blog – Eagle out!

After nearly two years at ROAR, I find myself reflecting on what has been a transformative journey, both personally and professionally. Before joining ROAR, I had little marketing knowledge, and although I so badly wanted to carve my way into the marketing industry, I had no real, applicable skills, and junior opportunities were few and far between. That was until our MD, Michael Knowles, gave me an amazing opportunity to join the ROAR team as a junior digital marketing executive!

Entering The World of PPC

As I mentioned above, before joining ROAR, I had no real marketing knowledge or expertise, which meant I didn’t have the foggiest ideas about what marketing channel I’d like to specialise in. However, after a few days, I found myself gaining a real interest in PPC marketing, and from there, I made it my goal to learn as much as I could as quickly as possible!

I then found myself completing multiple Google, SEMrush, and HubSpot certifications related to PPC marketing. Shortly after, I went from performing basic PPC tasks such as keyword research to auditing prospect accounts, building client campaigns, and eventually overseeing the majority of ROAR’s PPC clients. As I took on more responsibility, I also received various promotions, which, looking back, I am extremely proud of.

As mentioned, whilst at ROAR, I quickly became obsessed with PPC marketing and wanted to learn everything I could. To all the successes I had whilst at ROAR, I owe it all to my willingness to learn, my work ethic and the fantastic learning resources which were at my disposal, such as the PPC Hub; if you’re new to PPC or want to grow your knowledge, I can’t recommend the PPC Hub enough, it helped me improve my understanding of advanced PPC techniques and take client accounts to the next level with regards to conversion tracking, campaign strategy and made me a much better marketer!

Teamwork and Client Success

During my time at ROAR, I have worked with some amazing brands and even better people across a vast range of industries, whether it’s the oldest family-run watch brand in the UK, a championship football club, a luxury stately home, or an international insurance firm. It was rewarding to have been able to deliver results of the highest standard and hear the feedback from the client after achieving these results. However, my success was only made possible because of the amazing support I had from the team at ROAR, and It has been a pleasure to have worked with such hard-working and talented people, all of which made me feel welcome from my very first day at ROAR.

A Final Note

As I close this chapter and prepare to move on, I am grateful for the experiences, relationships, and knowledge I’ve gained at ROAR Digital Marketing. To those who have been part of my journey at ROAR, thank you for your support, collaboration, and encouragement. While I’m excited for the next phase of my career, I will always reflect on my time at ROAR with fond memories and a sense of accomplishment.

A special thank you to Michael Knowles for replying to that LinkedIn message two years ago and for all the support, guidance and laughs along the way!

Here’s to the next adventure and the exciting opportunities that lie ahead!
