FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Full Time, ideally / Part-time 4-days / for an outstanding candidate.

ROAR has an exciting opportunity to join the team. As Head of Content at ROAR you will play a crucial role in supporting and executing content strategies that enhance ours and our client’s online presence, engaging audiences and supporting our product initiatives. You will be responsible for keeping our website and our clients’ websites up to date with fresh, relevant content, optimising it for search engines and working closely with the rest of the team to support campaigns. You’ll, over time, be responsible for managing and developing young talent within the business. You’ll live and breathe our values in all that you do.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

To manage the content channel to deliver a high service to our client’s and within ROAR.

Client work

  • Develop and deliver the content plan and strategy alongside our SEO team.
  • Writing interesting and engaging website copy and blogs that drive up traffic to clients’ websites.
  • Contribute to our client’s brand messaging by developing eBooks and guides that can be used over a range of multimedia and digital platforms.
  • Optimising client content across a wide range of social media and digital platforms.
  • Researching, writing, proofing, and editing content for clients across a range of media types.
  • Gain and maintain professional working relationships – Engaging with clients regularly.   
  • Managing client content plans with our internal and external writers. 

 

Supporting ROAR:

  • To provide clear leadership and direction to the team and wider organisation support.
  • Creating and managing our ongoing content strategy.
  • Writing, proofing, and optimising our online content – website, landing pages, blogs, newsletter, and other media.
  • Creating simple infographics to support your articles.
  • Creating content briefs for the team and any external writers.
  • Undertaking Keyword research for ROAR and our clients.
  • Writing case studies for ROAR’s website.
  • Supporting the application process for awards.
  • Write reactive articles, having your figure on the pulse in the digital sector.

You’ll also have:

What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in writing content for numerous organisations in both B2B and B2C sectors.
  • Experience writing various types of copy (including Blogs, Web copy, guides, PR, and newsletters).
  • Experience in using market research to support targeted content generation.
  • Skilled in content creation tools and software, such as SEMrush, Ahrefs Frase.
  • Experience of using CMS systems such as WordPress.
  • Experience in creating a range of content across a broad range of mediums and good understanding of content use across social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and using it to provide insights for copy.
  • Experience in researching and writing technical copy.
  • Can manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment across different projects and able to work on numerous projects at once.
  • AN understanding that we’re an SME agency, and you’ll be an important cog in our growing team.
  • Great interpersonal skills—We’re a small team, so getting along, respecting each other, and aligning on values is important to us.
  • Brilliant Communication skills both written and verbal.
